There will be 11 farms throughout
the State of Maine that will open their doors to give you a
glimpse of what it is like to operate a horse farm. It's a
chance to get up close and personal with some of the state's
best athletes -- athletes who gracefully negotiate a mile run in
around two minutes -- only don't ask them for an autograph; it's
tough signing them with just a hoof.
These athletes are known as
trotters and pacers and on Sunday, October 21, they welcome you
all to their home.
You all can join the fun, as
the Maine Harness Racing Promotion Board presents Standardbred
Farm Day, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. The following farms have
