Approve Minutes:  June 27, 2006 Meeting

 

Adjudicatory Hearings:

1.      Determine what action the Commission wishes to take on the proposed rules heard on June 27, 2006: Chapter 1 Section 1, subsection 78. Starter; Chapter 7 Section 45. Falling or Unseating Driver; Chapter 7 Section 76. Dashes; Chapter 9 Section2. Eligibility Criteria; Chapter 9 Section 9. Purse Structure; and, Chapter 9 Section 6. Conditions.

2.      The Commission will hold a public hearing on Horse Supply pursuant to 8 M.R.S.A. Section 271.7. The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether the horse supply in the State has been adequate for the number of dashes conducted on assigned race dates. If the commission concludes that the horse supply has been inadequate, the commission shall limit to the extent necessary the number of dashes that a licensee may race on any date after August 1st of that year that has been assigned to more than one track. The commission may not restrict the number of dashes to fewer than 10.
