Approve Minutes:  July 25 and August 16, 2006 Meetings

 

Adjudicatory Hearings:

1.      In re: Daniel C. Day – It is alleged that the analysis of urine sampble #00163 taken from the horse, Chapri, at Scarborough Downs on April 28, 2006 after the second race disclosed the presence of Caffeine, a Class 2 Drug. Mr. Day is the owner and trainer of record of Chapri.

2.      In re: Robert H. Harvey – It is alleged that Mr. Harvey violated Commission Rule Chapter 11 Section1. subsection 13 for possession of hypodermic apparatus while on the grounds of a licensed racetrack.

3.      In re: Robert H. Harvey – It is alleged that the analysis of urine sample #02486 taken from the horse, Everything OK N, at Bangor Raceway on July 9, 2006 after the tenth race disclosed the presence of Phenylbutazone and metabolites, a Class 4 Drug. Mr. Harvey is the trainer of record for Everything OK N. The owner of record for Everything OK N is Lawrence L. Nichols of Lake Worth, Florida.

4.      In re: Aaron Tuttle – It is alleged that the analysis of the urine sample # 01483 taken from the horse, The Show Must Go On, at Scarborough Downs on July 29, 2006 after first qualifying race disclosed the presence of Naproxen, a Class 4 Drug. Mr. Tuttle is the trainer of record for The Show Must Go On. The owner of record is Patricia Tuttle of Lebanon, Maine

5.      In re: John Davidson – It is alleged that the analysis of human urine sample #723L provided by John Davidson at Bangor Raceway on June 27, 2006 disclosed the presence of Benzolecgonine, a cocaine metabolite. It is also alleged that this will be Mr. Davidson’s third human urine positive test within the past ten years.

 

Unfinished Business:

1.      Scarborough Downs is requesting to amend its 2006 Capital Improvements list approved by the Commission. The request is to add the removal of the hub rail and associated costs to be accomplished in 2006 with credit being carried over to 2007


Reports:

            1.  Summary of revenues from the Racino operation at Hollywood Slots and wagering handle at the licensed pari-mutual facilities.

 

New Business:

1.      Mr. Donald Marean wishes to discuss questionable decisions made by licensed racing officals.
