Adjudicatory
Hearings:
1. In re: Joseph O. Nelson (License No. 11215) – It is alleged that the analysis of blood sample #14635 taken from the horse, Just Plain Henry, at Scarborough Downs on August 20, 2007 prior to the fourth race had an elevated blood gas level, which is a positive test pursuant to Chapter 11 in the Commission’s Rules. Just Plain Henry finished second in the fourth race. Mr. Nelson is the trainer and part owner of Just Plain Henry.
Unfinished Business:
1. Proposed Financial Responsibility rule needs to be reviewed with input from Jack.
2. Review ARCI and RM&TC model rules for possible adoption
New Business:
1. Approve the list of judges for 2008.
2. Approve MHHA 2008 budget as proposed.
3. Establish date to review Capital Improvement requests from Scarborough Downs and Bangor Raceway.
4. Review th Conditions imposed on Northern Maine Fair’s Extended Meet for 2008. The Commission has received a letter from Northern Maine Fair indicating it will not conduct an Extended Meet in 2008
