MHHA's New Executive Director

 

 

The Maine Harness Horseman’s Association is pleased to announce that we have hired Mr. Jonathan Seavey of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to become our new Executive Director.

 

Jonathan grew up around Harness Racing and shares a passion for our sport as well a strong business skills and a knowledge of and experience in the political arena. His enthusiasm and commitment to the future of Maine Harness Racing and to protecting and advocating for our membership will help guide our membership into the future.

 

The selection process gathered over 40 applicants from across the United States. Members of the MHHA and MSBOA took part in a lengthy selection process made even more difficult by the high quality of the applicants.

 

Denise McNitt, DVM, chair of the Joint Committee wants to thank each and every applicant. “The applicants were diverse in location and qualifications but each had in common with the other their true passion and commitment to Maine Harness Racing. It is Mr. Seavey’s and the Board’s desire that everyone who applied will continue to be a resource for Maine Horsemen and Women. “
