Robert Dinning Released from Hospital

Sweeney for Scarborough Downs Scarborough, Maine – Driver Robert Dinning was discharged from Southern Maine Medical Center this morning after a night of observation following yesterday’s raceway accident at Scarborough Downs. Dinning, who was unseated during a first-turn incident in yesterday’s ninth race, reported out with a mild concussion and broken collar bone. He is expected to be out of commission for at least six weeks. "I’m sore today" Dinning said during a telephone interview. "I actually felt better right after the accident while I was lying on the infield grass than I do right now. But it’s all part of racing and I’ll be back." Dinning will continue with his training duties while recuperating from his injuries. He has named Kevin Switzer, Jr to drive in his absence on Sunday and Monday’s upcoming Scarborough Downs cards.
