of the winners circle sessions during the mid-summer twilight performance.

Shawn Gray held the hottest hand on Saturday as the state of Maine native worked out four winning catch-drives over the Scarborough twice-around starting out with a speedy 1:57.3 tracking journey with Stephen Vafiades’ Keystone Natalie before launching Kyle and Robert Gibbs’ Lindons Luey from the eight-hole en route to a 1:58.3 front running score.

Gray continued through his energetic evening with an aggressive strategy in mind for the Ben Bill and Will Stable’s Falcor N as he wrestled the top away from the front-loving 14-year-old Kingstar A to stop the clock in 1:58.2 as the Kiwi pacer defeated his Aussie cousin.

A 1:58.3 rally-style score behind another Gibbs brothers’ pacer completed the Shawn Gray Grand Slam as Badland’s Pride proudly paraded down victory lane.

Gray is currently the 4th ranked driver at Scarborough Downs with 54 seasonal wins.

Joey Mosher was the other dominate force on the Saturday card finding the winning paths with Four Starz Prince (1:58) and Trebuchet (2:00.1) before capping off the 10-race program with a gate-to-wire 1:59 jiggy jog behind Conquiestdonor.

In other news, Skitosofrantic posted the fourth fastest mile to be recorded at Scarborough Downs meeting this season as he sailed around the course through fleet fractions before stopping the tele-timer in a blazing 1:55.3 while being urged on

by the thunderous roars of the delighted trackside fans.

Skitsofrantic who is owned by Donald Bailey and Carmen La Rosa equaled his career pacing mark on Saturday and now trails only Ideal Conditions (1:54.1), Rupert Rupert (1:54.2) and Yankee Anthem (1:55.2) in the race for the supreme 2008 speed mile at the Downs.
