Scarborough, Maine – Rob Dinning wasted little time reestablishing himself as force to be reckoned with at Scarborough Downs as he emerged from a brief hiatus to claim two wins and two runner-up placings on the Friday afternoon card.

Dinning scored back-to-back victories while utilizing contrasting strategies, steering Lightnin Spur through a well-rated front-end romp in the third race before wearing down a longshot pacesetter (Krissy’s Princess) with a determined overland bid catch-driving She’s Ahcorker Two for the Wendy Ireland Stable.
Dinning, the 2007 winner of the Freeman Parker Award for most promising up-and-coming driver now sits second on the Scarborough Downs leader’s board with 139 seasonal wins. He trails defending driving champion Drew Campbell by nine wins.
In other news, veteran teamster Gary Mosher continued his steady march toward his 5000th career driving win by posting a driving double himself on the Friday afternoon Scarborough card. He put a brand new lifetime mark on the Maine-bred colt Maine Reign in the second race before claiming an open-lengths jiggy-jog with Madeithappenagain in the finale – the second consecutive local romp for the five-year-old son of Dragon Again.
Scarborough Downs proudly features live harness racing every Friday through Sunday with first post slated for 12:30 pm (EST).
