The USTA, in conjunction with participating tracks across the country, is promoting harness racing through its “Back to the Track” weekend. All horsemen and women are encouraged to bring guests to the tracks on the weekend of August 14 & 15 and encourage others to do the same.

Scarborough Downs is having a big day on Saturday, August 14 as the “Back to the Track” day will be held on the same day as Maine’s premier trotting race, “The Joseph Ricci Memorial Trot.” The festivities begin prior to the races at 4PM, so be there early.

The Downs has scheduled driver participation, fan access to our horsemen and women and unique opportunities to get an “up close and personal” look at some of our equine athletes. There will be prizes and promotions throughout the day and it promises to be a great day at the races.

Topsham Fair races at 1PM on Saturday, August 14 and Skowhegan Fair races on Sunday, August 15, also at 1PM.

Horsemen are encouraged to find some friends that haven't been to the races and invite them "Back To The Track". We will have more information about the events happening that weekend and post it when we do.
