Maine Sire Stakes action is once again bringing out the erasers to rewrite the record books along the Maine Fair Circuit.

Today at Windsor Fair, IZA BELLA, a three year old trotting filly captured the state of Maine record for her division in 2:00.2 with trainer Ivan Davies handling the reins for owner Michael Andrew. It was the third track record set by the BOY BAND filly as she captured the Northern Maine Fair record in 2:01.3 on August 5,  and the Union Fair record in 2:02.4 on August  24.

On Monday (8/29) at Windsor, patrons witnessed DENVER CYCLONE take the track record for two year old colt pacers in 1:57.4. The WESTERN CYCLONE offspring is trained by Wallace Watson, owned by Alfred Ross and was driven by Shawn Gray.

A Donald Richard trained duo set marks last week in Union Fair. Three year old trotting gelding CYBER CAST grabbed the Union record for three year old trotting geldings in 2:01.3 with Mark Athearn in the sulky for owners Tom Dillon and Walter Hight. With Dude Goodblood in rein, SPORTS CAST captured the track record for three year old filly trotters in 2:03.1 on August 24. The record didn't last long as IZA BELLA broke her mark two races later.

Skowhegan State Fair saw two records rewritten. Three year old filly sensation MAEVE tallied the first one with a 1:56.4 clocking on August 14 for driver/trainer/owner Kevin Switzer. Stablemate BARBRA ANN's 1:57.4 clocking a few races later would have been a track record if not for MAEVE's mile. On the two year old filly pacing side, MAGICALLY tied the track record with a 2:00.2 clocking for driver Gary Mosher and trainer Eric Bickmore.

In non-stakes action at Union Fair, Brian Blanchard captured his first track record as he drove PERFECT LAUNCH to a 1:57.2 clocking. The five year old mare is  owned by the estate of Lew Hayden and trained by Kim Ireland.
